Amazon Senior Program Manager, Global Hiring Science in Seattle, Washington
Description
Are you interested in solving complex problems at the intersection of technology and online assessments? You will be a part of the Global Hiring Science (GHS) team and will partner closely with Research Scientist, Program Manager, Product and Technology teams to scale and optimize talent assessment strategies and content.
You will serve as the single threaded Senior Program Manager to consult and advise on the development of innovative tools and programs that use science to hire high quality candidates. You will drive the creation of scalable solutions across multiple programs and languages, and be responsible for product implementation, change management and communication strategies. Successful candidates will have experience in talent assessment, technology organizations, are passionate about serving their clients, have excellent problem solving abilities and are able to influence without authority across all levels of the organizational hierarchy. The ideal candidate will have strong program management, communication and analytical skills; the ability to drive decision making while challenging the status quo; and experience driving large scale, matrixed global projects that have significant impact on the customer and wider organization.
Key job responsibilities
Work closely with our Talent Acquisition teams and hiring organization teams to deliver innovative recruiting and assessment strategies for candidates, improving our quality of hire.
Develop strategic program roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders, product and operations teams. Be able to reassess priorities should program needs change.
Serve as primary point-of-contact for the program and provide regular business reviews on health and roadmap execution.
Work with stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop milestones to ensure timely completion of projects.
Advise on the value and proper usage of assessments including online assessments and interview processes to global internal stakeholders including business teams and recruiting teams.
Create and maintain multiple, complex and concurrent program plans.
Negotiate resources and work timelines to ensure on-time completion and deliver desired business results.
Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
Communicate status risks, and changes of program milestones to a large user population and senior business leaders.
Consult with stakeholders and Industrial-Organizational Scientists to uncover intended assessment impact, application, scale as well as develop and deploy the most effective assessment solutions.
Analyze and report out on assessment data and research to stakeholders. Consolidate and produce metrics and insights that reflect success or failure criteria. Dive deep into defect data to root cause problematic products or processes and advice on corrective actions.
Negotiate platform integration and use, technical support and implementation of continuous improvements.
Partner with technical teams to derive program requirements, develop delivery mechanisms for our candidates, and research new assessment capabilities.
Develop change management communications and effective training and for internal and external assessment users.
Surface opportunities to innovate to continuously improve organizational efficiency.

We are a team of experts in industrial-organizational psychology, data science, and measuring the knowledge, skills, and abilities that it takes to be successful at Amazon. Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
