Amazon Senior Manager, Supply Chain, Just Walk Out Technology in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.

"Just Walk Out" (JWO) is a new and innovative service at stores across stadiums, airports, convenience, and more! Just Walk Out technology allows shoppers to enter a store, grab whatever they want, and quickly get back to their day, without having to wait in a checkout line or stop at a cashier. Customers enter or exit the store with a payment method, bypassing a checkout-line. The technology uses camera vision and sensor fusion, or RFID technology which allows them to simply walk away with their items. By removing the checkout, retailers can increase merchandising space, move more customers through the store, and provide a frictionless shopping experience.
