Seattle Children’s Hospital Security Officer - evening shift in Seattle, Washington
Responsibilities Provide a safe environment by maintaining a physical presence, identifying, reporting and documenting hazards and concerns, conducting active security/environmental assessments, screening visitors, utilizing non-violent crisis intervention methods to de-escalate disruptive individuals. Additionally, responding to requests for service, Code calls, emergencies and disasters. Exemplify Children\'s dedication to Hope, Care and Cure. Provide and support the Hospital\'s delivery of superior family-centered patient care, Research\'s advancement of new discoveries and pediatric treatments and the Foundation\'s charitable donor programs, boutiques and events. The Security Officer is also responsible for identifying, documenting and communicating safety and risk issues that may impact the operation and reputation of the organization. The role will perform a variety of security, safety and service support activities as delegated by the management team including but not limited to: service call (SC), entrance coordination (SEC), emergency department operations (ED), security operations center support (SOCS), patient watch (SPWO), valet, Ronald McDonald support (RMH), off-site security support (OSS), lot patrol (LP) guest services (GS), special events support (SES). #LI-NC1 Requirements Security Officer - Part-time (48 hours every two week pay period). Benefits eligible with shift differential pay Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent experience - At least years (3) years of security service or customer service experience OR Associate degree and two (2) years of customer service experience - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training program within 90 days - Autism training within 12 months of hire Required Credentials: - CPR certification within 90 days - Safety Care Certification (internal training) within 3 months of hire and maintain current cetifcation (annual) thereafter. Preferred: - Associate\'s degree in Criminal Justice or related field - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic exam completion - Advanced computer skills and knowledge - Experience working in healthcare environment - Exceptional customer service experience - Per the driver\'s license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management - Safe driver certification within 6 months of hire Min to Max Hourly Salary\$22. 78 - \$34.18 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary\$47,382.40 - \$71,094.40 /yrSalary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
