What You Can Expect

Are you ready to launch your career in Trauma Sales? For 18 months, Sales Associates in the Trauma Fellowship Program will have the opportunity to learn and work at the premier Trauma, Foot & Ankle institutions with an experienced team of Sales professionals. You will receive world-class training and mentorship, combining classroom learning and hands-on experience in surgical procedures. This includes on-the-job training in the operating room, becoming an expert at managing case coverage during high-stakes surgical procedures and ensuring the best possible outcomes. You'll have the chance to travel to industry events, build meaningful customer connections, and collaborate with cross-country sales team members.

At the end of the 18-month program, you will have built the necessary skills to manage accounts and secure new customers to grow your own business with Zimmer Biomet. Successful Fellows will have the opportunity to be promoted and placed in a ZB Sales Territory as a commissioned Sales Representative. You must be willing to relocate for a Sales Representative opportunity at the conclusion of the program.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Builds strong relationships with key surgeons and continue to build knowledge and expertise to cover Trauma Foot & Ankle procedures with clinical proficiency.

  • During procedures, uses product knowledge to solve problems and inform surgeons and OR staff on the proper use and maintenance of Zimmer Biomet products.

  • Coordinates surgery schedule including templating for cases based on expertise and product knowledge.

  • Plans, coordinates and ensures all implants and instruments are in place prior to case.

  • Requests implants and instruments necessary to cover designated surgeries through SMS.

  • Post procedure ensures all Zimmer Biomet products used are properly accounted for billing and inventory replenishment.

  • Reports on competitor and customer activities in the field.

  • Strictly adheres to all policies and SOPs regarding the interaction with HCP (Health Care Professionals), product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.

  • Supports Zimmer Biomet sales by sharing knowledge, ideas and references.

  • Develops relationships with internal support personnel.

  • Provides after hour and/or evening case coverage and add on case coverage for team and/or territory. Includes weekend and on-call case coverage and add on case coverage for team and/or territory.

  • Collaborate with and provide sales support for team and/or territory, which includes the transportation of Zimmer Biomet instruments and implants for day, evening, add on or weekend cases.

Your Background

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree, medical certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 0-2 year’s sales or sales service experience in medical device, surgical.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 20%

  • Must be willing to relocate within the United States at the conclusion of the 18-month program.

This role has a base salary of $65k-$70k with additional compensation available through bonus opportunities.
