Harborview's COVID Testing Mobile Response has an outstanding opportunity for a 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift REGISTERED NURSE (RN2). The Registered Nurse will work 8 hour shifts, with rotating weekend shifts required. The sites are open approximately 8am - 4:30pm, 6 days a week. This is a great opportunity to be part of our local response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) will perform infection prevention and control activities working at our mobile COVID testing sites. These sites include a stationary location outside the Pioneer Square Clinic, a mobile vehicle rotating through homeless shelters and areas frequented by those experiencing homelessness, and another vehicle rotating through various sites in the South King County area serving our low income and vulnerable neighbors. Work includes site set up and take down, infection prevention practices, patient education, restocking duties and COVID testing procedure for all ages. The RN may place orders and document in the electronic medical record, and notify patients of results. The RN may also assist with vaccination for influenza, and other vaccines (such as COVID-19 vaccine, when available). The RN will assume charge RN responsibilities, when assigned. Candidates should be comfortable working with potentially COVID positive patients and those experiencing homelessness, working outside regardless of weather, and be able to rotate through various locations. LOCATION(S): Multiple rotating locations throughout King County REQUIREMENTS Ability to: • Comfortably work with potentially COVID positive patients • Perform nasal pharyngeal/other specified swabs on adults and children • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the day • Work outside regardless of weather • Work weekends and/or early morning shifts (6AM start) • Float between testing sites to meet staffing demands • Be comfortable with people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse
