UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Extend unit This is a med. surg. unit to care for acute care patients with behavioral health needs. The 20 beds unit will deliver the best of care to our medically complex patients. You will have the opportunity to work with intensivist and clinical nurse specialist to enhance best care outcomes for our patients. UW Medical Center – Northwest is a full-service medical center based in North Seattle. We are a non-profit community hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical and therapeutic services. With 281 beds, more than 2,000 employees and a world-class medical staff, we provide innovative, technologically advanced care on a patient-friendly, easy-access campus, just north of Seattle. SCHEDULE Part time, alternate shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively as part of a professional medical team that includes doctors, social workers, care managers and therapists. You will work to restore the patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices and managing complex health issues. The Registered Nurse will identify care needs and monitor and administer medications and intravenous infusions to help optimize the patient’s recovery to health.
