About the Position:

IMCO General Construction is seeking a Regional Safety Coordinator to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. The position reports to the Director of Safety. The area of responsibility will include projects located in Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.

  • This position is accountable for assisting in implementing and overseeing the safety policies and procedures of IMCO General Construction and its subsidiaries.

  • Continuous interpretation and compliance planning for current and emerging safety regulatory requirements at all levels including client-specific requirements, State, Federal, and local legislation and regulations.

  • The p rimary responsibilities for this position include jobsite administration of safety and health policies and procedures, interacting with jobsite personnel regarding safety issues, and identifying and eliminating hazards and incidents.

  • Offers a flexible schedule and coordinates safety support for several construction sites.

    Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the identification, analysis, and development of controls to eliminate or minimize occupational hazards that exist in work locations.

  • Participate in and lead risk assessments using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

  • Participate and support near miss and incident reporting, investigation, development of corrective actions, and closure.

  • Participate in or conduct root cause analyses.

  • Perform HSE training, to ensure training content is reviewed and updated as necessary.

  • Lead implementation of document control program into company-required databases.

  • Maintain awareness of developments and changes in legislation that affect site operations.

  • Participate in corporate safety team meetings and support the continuous improvement process.

    Schedule and Travel Requirements:

  • This is a full-time position.

  • Travel to various company offices and/or construction project sites throughout the Pacific Northwest region including Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.

  • 50-75% travel within the assigned area

    Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary is $85,000-99,000 annually – Depending on experience and certifications.

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

  • 401(k) match on eligible wages and available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.

    Requirements and Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED and five years of industrial health and safety experience OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of industrial health and safety experience.

  • HAZWOPER and OSHA training certificates are a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Current and valid driver’s license - with a clean and insurable driving record and capable of maintaining a clean and insurable driving record.

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

  • Pre-employment drug testing required.

  • Criminal background check required; must be able to pass security clearance requirements for select projects.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements.

  • Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity.
