Beacon Hill Staffing Group Project Billing Specialist in Seattle, Washington
Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Billing Specialist to join our client's team in Seattle. This is a temporary position with potential for temp-to-hire and offers excellent opportunities for growth within the organization. As a Project Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial accuracy and success of various projects. Key responsibilities include: * Project Setup and Documentation * Setting up projects and ensuring accurate accounting, tax considerations, and proper approval documentation. * Reviewing and maintaining project-related documents, change orders, and client approvals to understand project scope and billing terms. * Revenue and Financial Tracking * Accurately accounting for and recognizing revenue, work-in-progress, and gross profit for assigned projects. * Monitoring project progress and maintaining communication with project management regarding billing, cost tracking, and profitability. * Assisting project management with financial duties, including reviewing work orders against job scope, contract terms, and budgets. * Billing and Collections * Preparing and reviewing project-related billings to customers, managing client portals, and submitting supporting documentation. * Assisting with accounts receivable and collections efforts for past due invoices. * Month-End and Audit Responsibilities * Completing month-end closing tasks such as job cost accruals, revenue recognition calculations, and work-in-progress adjustments. * Addressing monthly project variances by collaborating with project management to resolve discrepancies. * Compiling information for internal and external audits. * Regulatory and Compliance Reporting * Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and filings related to projects. * Procurement and Commitments * Creating job-related purchase orders and managing open commitments. * Additional Responsibilities * Performing additional duties as assigned to support project and financial management objectives. Qualifications: * Prior experience in project billing, project accounting, or a related field. * Strong organizational and analytical skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
