Description

We seek a Program Manager that can apply customer obsession towards building programs that support Amazon's Black Business Accelerator. Your work will directly help build sustainable equity and growth for Black entrepreneurs by enabling their success as sellers. We are seeking an experienced Amazonian with a high-judgment and a deep business orientation that could be used as we innovate internal alliances with other Amazon Teams to build our new SBD go-to-market strategies.

This highly visible role will internally work within Amazon to build go-to-market (GTM) strategies, drive revenue, establish partnerships, with leadership across the company to propel and amplify business growth of the undiscovered and small business partners on the Amazon stores. This can include deal management or partner development with other programs, like AWS or Alexa, to drive GTM plans for a product or service for the SPs in USBA.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, extremely organized, and collaborative orchestrator. They are a skilled facilitator and have an unbridled passion for data and strategy, with strong brand marketing, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Owns the Internal Strategic Amazon Partnership model critical to recruit new and existing selling partners into the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator. As the dedicated team focused on increasing benefits, solutions and pathways for Black, Woman-owned and Hispanic business owners to success on Amazon.

• Owns the development and launch of an internal council focused on increasing opportunities for undiscovered businesses from diverse populations

• Creates, optimizes and drives adoption of critical mechanisms required to ensure long term expansion and success

• Plans and executes round table discussions with key external and internal stakeholders

• Works with key internal and external stakeholders, including the BBA Advisory Council, to identify, drive and scale solutions that benefit Black business owners

• Track and report program learnings and effectiveness to internal stakeholders

• Look around corners to sport emerging issues and proactively lead the development and execution of new opportunities

• Manage and collaborates with a large group of stakeholders to inform program benefits

A day in the life

The candidate will think big to deliver new ideas and creative approaches to constantly improve the experience of BBA participants by mapping proposed solution to the expressed pain point of the selling partners. They will think strategically about how to develop and report metrics and KPIs that will inform the BBA Advisory Council and internal council agendas. They will think creatively on how the BBA Advisory Council expertise and executive presence can be used to drive collaboration with other organizations in the space. The candidate embraces ambiguity, ramps up quickly on complex issues. They will utilize their attention to detail, experience in program management, and excellent written communication skills to ensure high quality results.

About the team

The Sustainable Business Development team pursues strategic opportunities with internal and external partners to afford both managed and self-managed selling partners access to critical business resources - such as capital, community mentorship, and customer acquisition solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
