Within ITA, the Technical Program Management team bridges the gap between visionary ideas and practical implementation, orchestrating complex projects from inception to delivery. Our work is pivotal in aligning cross-functional teams, managing resources, and navigating technical challenges to ensure ITA’s most ambitious goals become reality. Technical Program Managers leverage their technical acumen and leadership skills to influence product strategy, optimize processes, and deliver solutions that have a tangible impact on millions of prospective Amazonians worldwide. Key job responsibilities

  • Drive technology strategy and product roadmap development across multiple organizations

  • Influence senior leadership decisions on technical investments and priorities

  • Identify and solve ambiguous, complex technical problems at scale

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive significantly complex technical initiatives

  • Create and optimize cross-org structures and sustainable mechanisms

  • Guide teams toward coherent technology approaches and build consensus across multiple organizations

  • Identify risks/opportunities in technical strategies while defining integration patterns for diverse business needs

  • Facilitate the development of detailed project plans to ensure technical teams deliver to the customer requirements

About the team

The Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) team supports the Amazon Talent Acquisition (ATA) organization by transforming data into insights on hourly associate and corporate hiring within Amazon. While ATA is responsible for the management of the hourly and corporate talent supply chain, the ITA team in particular focuses on defining analytics that measure the performance of the program. While we continue to work on metrics that help monitor the health of the program we also spend efforts on identifying efficiencies in the process path through the power of data and predictive analytics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
