Amazon Principal Product Manager - Technical, Search, WW Amazon Grocery in Seattle, Washington

Want to help transform Amazon into a grocery shopping destination for our customers? We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the overall Search charter for Grocery & Stock-up missions on Amazon.com, and Grocery banners such as WholeFoods Market, Fresh, and 3P Grocery Sellers. This role will play a leadership role driving change across key elements of Search including Customer Experience, Search Relevance and Offers Experience for Grocery.

You will work very closely with senior business, product, and finance leaders in defining the problem. You will influence data scientists, designers & engineers to build a clear roadmap that drives better basket-building & search experience for our customers. You will strategically balance between serving expanding customer needs and building high performance and sustainable solutions. In this role, you will be a leader working directly with senior L8+ leaders, establishing new mental models with business executives, guiding end-to-end development from customer requirements through research, development, and supporting a WW portfolio.

Key job responsibilities

We’re looking for Product Managers who share our passion for continuously improving the customer experience, who are motivated by challenging problems in distributed systems, and who love building great products. Successful candidates will have the following:

  • Experience working on multi-layer optimization problems. Ability to influence across orgs is critical in this role.

  • Strategic vision based on rigorous analytics. Not only do you have a deep intuition for customer needs, you are also adept with quantitative data sets. Your innate curiosity drives you to find new ways to learn more about your customers and the industry.

  • Convincing communication. You thrive in environments with a wide range of stakeholders across various functions, and possess a toolkit of communications that enables you to construct engaging and conclusive narratives.

  • A strong sense of urgency to deliver a product that your customers love, in the shortest amount of time. You cannot wait to delight your customers, and execute relentlessly and innovate constantly as a result. When faced with hurdles, you collaborate with your teammates to find mutually beneficial solutions.

A day in the life

You're solving extremely complex and broad problems, across all of Amazon. You'll be engaging with some of the most senior leaders at Amazon. You're working with a great tech team to improve an experience that many of your friends and family use regularly!

About the team

You'll be part of the Grocery CX Product & Design leadership team. This team owns the end-to-end customer and omni-channel experience for WW Amazon Grocery. You'll be one of 6 leaders that are single threaded leaders of large and impactful customer experiences. We also like to have fun, which is nice.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience technical product management

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
