Verus Portfolio Management Analyst & Trader in Seattle, Washington

Verus is in search of a Portfolio Management Analyst & Trader to join our office in Seattle, WA. Our office culture is one that values in-person collaboration and interaction. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in trading and/or investment portfolio analytics.  Candidates must be organized, have strong analytical skills, and be exceptionally detail and process orientated. 

The Portfolio Management Analyst & Trader is primarily responsible for modeling multi-asset class portfolios, building custom analyses as needed, and supporting the portfolio management team in the ongoing management of client portfolios.  The PMAT will have significant ownership of the monthly rebalancing process across most client portfolios, under oversight of client portfolio managers, and will be a lead trader on many accounts, partnering with operations to effectively communicate with custodians, brokers, asset managers and fund companies to ensure timely transactions.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Build, maintain, improve and conduct portfolio modeling in support of the portfolio management team's investment decision making processes;
  • Consistently work to make portfolio management processes and tools more efficient and scalable, identifying possible efficiencies and building solutions to eliminate them;
  • Serve as a lead trader on assigned client accounts; ensure flawless portfolio management and trading with zero failures impacting clients.

Future career development opportunities exist within the portfolio management team along trading and operational aspects and/or portfolio design/management. 

 

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's Degree required;
  • CFA charter holder (or progression towards achieving the designation);
  • Strong technical capabilities and exceptional attention to detail

     

Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 DOE

 

The base salary range in this job posting represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this specific position and its unique job function within a specific job category.  Salary offered to candidates is determined by factoring in market pay for the job function and job category, internal peer equity, education, credentials, relevant skills and expertise, past employment experience, and geographic pay differentials.
