The Selling Partner Support team designs and implements policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers. Our team is looking for a Manager, People Operations & Experience that is business-minded, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented. This position will report to the worldwide EMP leader of Strategy, Planning, and Learning. It is a highly influential role that will serve as a role model for EMP's mission, values, and cultural norms. They will work with many business leaders across EMP and SPS to ensure we are productive and creating the premier employee experience. They will have a positive attitude that helps them thrive in an intellectually curious, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.

This position is right for you if you're entrepreneurial, experienced in shaping and reinforcing a strong culture, training and developing our team, among other processes. This job is open to candidates who can work in the Seattle or Dallas offices.

Key job responsibilities

  • Proactively offer new ideas, concepts, campaigns, and formats to continuously improve employee communications

  • Partner with business leaders to define and execute EMP's people engagement strategy, aligning it with SPS long-term goals

  • Expand, conceptualize, and execute programs that drive employee engagement, boosting employee morale, employee recognition, learning and development, and a positive culture within the organization

  • Implement effective systems and processes to support key people functions, including onboarding, All Hands events, and learning & development

  • Create and manage EMP's Engagement and Recognition calendar, including recognition and rewards systems, career growth trainings, wellness initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and team-building activities

  • Work closely and collaborate with partner teams and key stakeholders to develop and execute program mechanisms and key performance indicators (KPI). Partners include the HR team. Stakeholders include the EMP leadership team.

  • Develop a platform that helps leaders manage events, team-building exercises and more to ensure those efforts are having the desired impact

  • Leverage technology to create mechanisms that track the success of programs and seek methods to continually improve

A day in the life

  • Monitor employee engagement KPIs, gather and review data, adjust existing strategies, as needed

  • Review the idea collection platform to evaluate ideas based on their potential impact, viability, and strategic fit, ensuring that only the most promising concepts are pursued

  • Publish monthly "hot topics" resulting from the idea collection platform so employees have visibility to feedback on current topics of interest and perspectives on their job role community

  • Coordinate with the Content Management & Training team to communicate progress and updates on employee engagement tools, systems, and strategies

  • Create and socialize reports that summarize the results of employee feedback surveys and corresponding initiatives you will create/leverage to address the feedback

  • Design a tracking mechanism to review how often leaders utilize the recognition program and track the recognition frequency of an individual employee

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

  • Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
