Optum Operating Room Tech- Plastic Surgery in Seattle, Washington

The Polyclinic is seeking a Surgical Operating Room Tech for the Plastic Surgery team located at the Nordstrom Tower location in Seattle.

Assist physician during surgical procedures by providing correct instruments, supplies, and equipment. Process and maintain instruments, restock and order supplies, assist in management and care of equipment used in the operating room.

Prepare routine supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures

Assist surgeon during surgical procedures

Act as a facilitator between surgical procedures when assigned in the instrument room

Work as a team member within the surgery center department and with all other Polyclinic department

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Hours: Per Diem- Monday-Friday. Must be able to commit to at least 8 shifts a month from

7:00am-3:00pm, occasionally longer depending on the surgery.

Experience: Must have experience in Plastic surgery cases with at least 1 year in Breast Surgery,

Tummy tucks, Facelifts

Credentials: CPR certification required

Surgical Technician Registration in Washington State and CPR required

Education: High school diploma or its equivalency preferred

One of the following:

Graduation from a school of surgical technology

Three to five years of on-the-job training in a hospital setting

Three to five years training in the military service of the United States

Employees are required to screen for symptoms using an approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.

Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a worksite building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
