Amazon Market Research Lead, Strategy and Brand Management in Seattle, Washington

Ring is looking for an experienced Market Research Lead to drive primary research and deliver insights that guide strategic decision making across the business. As the Market Research Lead, you will be tasked with delivering the senior leadership team deep consumer insights to inform Ring's strategic roadmap.

This role will involve working proactively and collaboratively with stakeholders to define and execute research projects, as well as quickly executing ad-hoc research initiatives. We are looking for a researcher who will champion a customer obsessed mindset and drive insight-led decisions, working proactively to guide the organization in best leveraging primary research.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can build trust quickly. They will serve as a figurehead of the research discipline, presenting to the most senior leaders and educating cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ever-changing environment, with the ability to drive consensus. This person has the capacity to assimilate data and hone in on key insights that drive impactful business recommendations. The measure of success in this role will be the velocity, quality and clarity in data storytelling, that ultimately has a demonstrable impact to the business.

Key job responsibilities

-Identify and interpret macro trends, define consumer white space for product teams

-Design research instruments (surveys, discussion guides, etc) and sampling techniques to gather high-quality data

-Educate and elevate general understanding of customer needs across the business

-Analyze primary research results to uncover insights and strategic guidance

-Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to marketing leadership through written narratives and presentations

-Build and manage an ecosystem of research partners to support research initiatives

-Identify opportunities to combine data sources to uncover new, impactful insights

-Consult with cross-functional stakeholders on leveraging research to maximize return on investment

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing research, customer insights, or a related field

  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing research, customer insights, or a related field

  • Proven track record of communicating research findings and strategic guidance to senior leadership

  • Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Experience driving alignment and collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Background in B2C, B2B and/or technology industries preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
