This Strategy Manager sits on the Store Platforms and Insights team supporting the Operate and Maintain domains. You will work in close partnership with the Product team supporting front-end platform and data strategy. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to work across the organization including business functions, DAIBO and Starbucks Technology to shape the arc of our data from what we capture to how we store and utilize it in decision-driven business applications. Key projects include Store Health Pyramid, Decision Center 2.0, IoT data enablement and initial scoping of AI-driven store action planning.

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:

Lead strategic problem-solving efforts to identify key issues, develop hypotheses and design required analysis

Plan and manage programs to ensure they are aligned with strategic priorities, company business goals and desired partner outcomes

Conduct analysis and problem solve to make informed recommendations to organizational and enterprise leadership

Develop and tell stories with data and insights that are compelling and persuasive for leaders, partners and shareholders

Prepare, communicate, and educate end-user groups on changes in processes, tools & enablers within the organization.

Manage and develop direct reports to build positive team culture, nurture talent growth, and deliver business results.

Ability to coach, train, develop, and lead a team

High comfort working with technology solutions and systems; bonus points working on predictive analytics solutions coupled with AI/ML services

High learning agility, growth mindset and curiosity.  

Skills in systems thinking, seeking to understand the interconnectedness of the organizational system and ability to select the optimal levers to drive desired outcome(s)

Demonstrated success developing and deploying comprehensive strategies (3 years)

Experience in strategic consulting, brand/product management or analytics (5 years)

Established experience with program management and leading cross-functional teams (5 years)

Experience supporting operating plans, timeline management, and business casing (5 years)

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
