We’re looking for an Engineering Manager, Demand Platform Engineering to join our AR (Augmented Reality) Monetization Group! As a member of the AR team, you will lead a group of software developers creating the next generation advertisement experience at Snap, based on AR technology. While working from our offices in either Los Angeles or Seattle, you will collaborate with other teams in the Monetization org, as well as the camera platform and Lens teams, in order to build a brand new on-camera shopping ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and manage cross-platform (iOS, Android, backend) engineering roadmaps that will enable the foundations of our on-camera shopping product strategy

  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholder teams at Snap in order to align and deliver such product milestones

  • Build a scalable and sustainable infrastructure that will support Snap’s AR commercialization efforts

  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs involved in key system design decisions (especially related to web development technologies, including React and Golang)

  • Closely collaborate with PMs in order to translate product requirements into technical designs, which are then turned into engineering roadmaps.

  • Define clear success metrics for the team as a whole and for team members individually

  • Manage and mentor a team of great developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working in software engineering

  • 2+ years managing teams of software engineers

  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an IC, especially as a backend of full-stack developer

  • Experience with CI/CD setups

  • Experience with any AR or graphics technologies

  • Experience with shipping user-facing systems, especially at a large scale

  • History of involvement in product roadmapping and decision making

  • History of involvement in hiring and recruiting
