Providence St. Joseph Health Lead Plumber - Facilities Management in Seattle, Washington

Description Lead Plumber - Facilities Management (281519) Schedule: FTE 1.0, Day The Construction Licensed Journeyman Plumber is responsible for plumbing project installations, project planning and review, cost estimation, and will have over site of plumbing project budget ensuring projects meet budgetary requirements. Performs maintenance and repairs on hospital piping systems including domestic water systems, building heating systems, medical gas systems, along with associated equipment for those systems such as pumps, backflow preventers, heat exchangers, valves, traps, and fixtures. Plans, estimates and performs project work of the same systems. Ensures that all installations and maintenance activities are per applicable codes. Assist other staff with general maintenance functions when needed. May direct the work of less skilled plumber(s) and maintenance staff on projects as part of a collaborative team. Required Qualifications: Backflow certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire. 5 years in the construction field reading blueprints, plumbing diagrams, installing plumbing components. Experience preforming preventive maintenance on all plumbing equipment. 4 years journey-level experience as a plumber. Preferred Qualifications: Med Gas certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire). 5 years knowledge of plumbing codes in acute care facilities. Why Join Providence?
