Robert Half Instructional Designer in Seattle, Washington

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a leading global eCommerce enterprise in search of a talented Instructional Designer to join their Learning & Development team. This role will be pivotal in developing innovative, interactive, and scalable learning experiences for employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to design and implement creative, learner-centered, performance-based training solutions that support both onboarding and professional development. The candidate will also use cutting-edge technologies such as simulations and AI-powered content generation tools.

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Seattle, WA (remote flexible but must be local to Seattle)

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $40-45/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop dynamic training materials, including interactive eLearning modules and video-based learning, to engage learners across multiple modalities.

  • Create and implement assessments, evaluation tools, and metrics to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop scalable training solutions that are consistent and applicable to a global audience, ensuring readiness for localization.

  • Manage multiple training projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content aligns with business goals and learning objectives.

  • Embrace feedback throughout the design process to ensure training deliverables meet the highest standards.

    Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in eLearning and training content development.

  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Storyline/Rise 360, and experience using JavaScript for xAPI integrations.

  • Competence in multimedia development, including audio, video, and animation, with tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere.

  • Experience creating interactive training materials across various delivery formats.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Educational Technology, or related discipline.

  • Experience delivering training solutions to large, global organizations and familiarity with localization processes.

  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or project management (e.g., CPTD, PMP).

  • Expertise with emerging technology trends such as gamification, VR, and AI-powered tools for content creation.

  • Experience creating high-quality voice-over content and incorporating gamification into learning experiences.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Vyond video/animation software.

  • A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating engaging eLearning and instructor-led experiences.
