  • Full Time Monday - Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION This position works in conjunction with UW Medical Center Executive leadership and management staff in pursuit of optimizing labor productivity data and offering insight to internal operations and external benchmarking. This role acts as a leader within UW Medicine to promote labor productivity best practices and continuity across the system, offering formal and informal support to all levels of leadership. Working in collaboration with other UW Medicine Finance and IT staff, this role acts as a system material expert; ensuring that capabilities and limitations of internal tools and resources are fully realized as a part of implemented changes. This position collaborates with IT to conduct root-cause analyses of issues within the data feeds, explores software capabilities, and performs solution-oriented, creative problem solving.

The Financial Analyst also performs analysis to support the financial decision making of the organization as well as to assist in the management/reduction of operating costs of UW Medicine through reporting and analysis to ensure the long-term financial performance of the organization. Programmatic responsibilities include financial performance improvement work, labor productivity support through Kronos Analytics as well as other ad hoc financial analysis needs. Support strategic long-term planning – financial analytics. This position provides essential analytic support for key financial and labor productivity decision-making. Participates in Finance and various cross disciplinary team discussions and coach on appropriate use and interpretation of data. Also provides information on data quality issues to appropriate team(s) for potential remediation.

  • Kronos Analytics Training and Maintenance REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or HealthCare AdministrationAND

  • Four to five years experience including:•Excellent interpersonal skills, effectively interacting and collaborating across multiple teams withall staff levels•Proven analytical, verbal, and written communications skills, including effectively communicatingwith all levels of management/leadership•Preparing complex financial/productivity analyses and interpretations with high degree of accuracy•Diligently tracking performance metrics and formulate actionable recommendations to leaders•Utilizing numerous business software applications – time tracking software, databases, datavisualization tools and report writers•Ability to work independently with a minimum level of supervision and manage multiple projects•Experience with problem solving and investigation methodologies, statistical analysis, and dataautomation•Demonstrated project management experience as a leader and contributor•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to quicklyresolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction• Ability to extract and reconcile data from multiple systems and ensure data integrity• Adaptability to evolving demands and expectationsOR
