Job Summary
We are looking for an experience Finance Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic partner to the Regional Controller, supporting financial management and operational efficiency across the region.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with the Regional Controller to ensure financial goals are met.
Collaborate with Operations Senior Leadership (SVP and Area VPs) to manage the client budget twisting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational targets.
Lead and coordinate the Forecast process, engaging with operations teams to develop and implement action plans to address performance challenges.
Oversee the monthly close process, working alongside the finance and field accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Support the finance team by guiding the monthly close ledger review and Profit & Loss Statement analysis, ensuring completeness and accuracy before finalization.
Analyze weekly and monthly financial results, collaborating with the operations team to identify key issues and opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement in account profitability by enhancing the financial awareness and competence of the operations team.
Provide sound inventory management guidance to Operations and Culinary leaders, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in inventory controls.
Maintain strong financial controls throughout the region, partnering with the Internal Audit Department to meet Internal Control Reviews (ICR) targets and enforce loss prevention practices (e.g., cash handling, timely invoice payments, inventory management).
Ensure proper setup of assets by coordinating with the accounting and capital assets departments, ensuring timely submission of invoices for correct asset categorization.
Prepare and provide ad-hoc client reporting as required, ensuring data is accurate and actionable.
Review and analyze Compass reporting regularly to identify and address potential financial issues proactively.
Provide financial evaluations of new business ventures and re-bid proformas, collaborating with the operations team to establish realistic financial goals and expectations.
Enhance the quality of financial reviews through the use of benchmarking, sensitivity analysis, and other advanced financial tools.
Participate in Area and Regional meetings, offering financial insights and contributing to strategic discussions as needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or business administration, with a strong background in operational finance support.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence business partners, senior management, and client groups on financial matters.
Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
Detail-oriented and hands-on, with the ability to manage day-to-day operations while also seeing the broader financial landscape.
Able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a proven ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
Results-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity to achieve financial goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and financial analysis.
