The Role: We are looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Amazon Go Finance team supporting the Category Management teams. This role will work closely with the Category and Merchandising teams and key business stakeholders to influence decisions across selection and new programs to improve both topline and bottom-line performance of Go stores. This role serves as the go-to finance partner for a critical area of the business, and will drive deep dives, bridging analysis, and Free Cash Flow programs to deliver insights and influence business partners. Additionally, this role will own key deliverables for forecasting, goals and cost out initiatives for the Amazon Go Category teams.
Team Exposure/Scope: This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Worldwide Grocery Stores Finance organization, often at some of the most senior levels within the company.

Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with Amazon Go Category and Merchandising teams and other stakeholders to identify, recommend, and validate success criteria for initiatives to drive sales and cost out initiatives
Establish and maintain key financial and operating metrics
Design and develop both recurring and ad hoc reporting and bridging analysis
Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial summaries and business insights to senior leadership
Lead short and long-term bottoms up forecasting process by category
Develop scalable and efficient financial processes to support an emerging business
Partner with cross-functional teams to build financial models/analysis for business and investment decisions
Partner with business teams to enable success in the annual Goals process
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of finance experience and Bachelor's degree, OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
Participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
MBA and/or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
