Key job responsibilities:

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to play a key role supporting AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Sales Productivity Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking team. Job responsibilities include:

  • Support key reporting mechanisms to senior executives, including quarterly document review and monthly metric reviews.

  • Serve as a finance partner supporting SMGS Ops executives - providing financial support and driving business insights on sales productivity.

  • Lead the maintenance of existing and the development of new financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making.

  • Build, manage and automate rhythm-of-the-business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.

  • Develop financial and operational metrics, drive adoption of those metrics, and help influence the business based on those metrics.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, write financial documents, build comprehensive tables/reports, and support cross functional projects to present to senior leaders.

  • Lead adoption of key metrics and analyses across Sales Operations and supporting finance teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
