We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Geologist or Assistant Project Manager, Scientist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Seattle, WA or Portland, OR office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will:
- Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately assist projects in the Pacific Northwest.
- Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with challenging projects.
- Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
- Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in Washington and Oregon.
- Be capable of assisting project managers with financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
- Assist project managers to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
- Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client and regulatory deliverables.
- Be effective in task coordinating assignments and work.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior level field staff.
- Ability to learn quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
- Assist with directing environmental field observation and testing programs.
- Be able to effectively assist project managers with various remediation projects.
- Develop a working understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science (MS Degree preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of relevant consulting experience in Pacific Northwest with: environmental regulations, environmental investigations and site characterization, remediation technologies, operation and maintenance, and construction.
- Have professional registration PE/RG -- or can get it within 6 months of hire (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient at writing, technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
- Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.
