Nordstrom Engineer Senior 2, Product Selling Controls (Hybrid - Seattle, WA) in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Selling Controls Organization at Nordstrom. This Engineer will be responsible for evolving and delivering mission-critical Tier-1 Systems that are used to power wide-ranging external and internal Customer experiences.

A day in the life...

  • Lead and work on projects that span across multiple teams and organizations

  • Simplify and break down complex engineering problems into understandable and deliverable pieces

  • Create, evaluate, and contribute to designs at varying levels of detail

  • Lead, mentor, and work with team members across the organization

  • Contribute to, evolve, and champion best practices: design, code reviews, secure delivery, operational maturity, agile, etc

  • Stay curious and keep up with the latest technical innovations that can enhance our delivery

  • Level up and continue to make Nordstrom a great place to work and grow

You own this if you have...

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent practical experience

  • Proficiency with Java and Golang

  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes

  • Experience with RESTful architecture and micro-services

  • Experience in developing near real-time data processing solutions utilizing Kafka

  • Experience with relational databases and caching techniques

  • Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS

  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $166,000-$258,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
