Nordstrom, Inc. seeks Engineer 2 (multiple positions) in Seattle, WA.
Duties:
Collaborate with other engineering teams and program/product managers to define and implement new technical solutions; Contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring the team ships high quality, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code; Design, develop, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems for Nordstrom product services; Participate in defining, scoping, and estimating resulting stories; and turn business needs into functional software requirements and provide technical explanations for the business to understand.
Telecommuting permitted.
Requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience. Must have 2 years of experience with the 3 of the following: Agile methodology (SCRUM); Amazon Web Services (AWS); analysis, design, development, testing, and implementing software applications or systems; API development; application code review; building CI/CD pipelines (continuous integration/ continuous delivery) that deliver to a production environment; cloud services; design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code; Docker; ETL (extract, transform, load) software; GitLab; Java application development; JSON; Kubernetes; Linux; oracle-based systems; Python; Rest API; or XML.
In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related and the candidate must have knowledge of at least 3 of the above which can be obtained through any work experience, internship(s), and/or course credit.
