Amazon Employee Communications Manager, GREF Internal Communications, GREF – Global Communications in Seattle, Washington

Within Amazon, The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.

We are seeking an employee communications professional to support GREF’s internal communications strategy. This individual will be experienced in developing internal employee communications campaigns that inform, inspire, and engage employees at large, global, matrixed organizations. They will be a strong writer, creative thinker, skilled event planner, and have a passion for human-centered storytelling. This role is be part of the GREF Global Communications team and will provide strategic and tactical support to the Executive Communications Manager.

Key job responsibilities

•Develop internal communication plans, tactics, and assets related to rhythm-of-the-business, HR, operations, learning and development, org design, and culture.

•Provide strategic and tactical support for employee events and meetings, both virtual and live.

•In partnership with the content team, elevate GREF employee storytelling by writing and producing content for internal communications channels.

•Develop narratives, messaging and other various visual and written communications assets. Review and edit communications materials to ensure consistency in GREF brand voice and Amazon writing standards.

•Conduct thorough analysis and reporting to collect data and metrics to measure and track employee engagement and identify areas for improvement.

•Developing a deep understanding of the GREF’s vision, mission, programs and initiatives, and organizational culture.

•Support the broader GREF communications team on special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA in communications, PR, journalism, business or equivalent 5+ years professional experience.

  • Experience working for large, matrixed organizations.

  • Experience in internal/employee communications.

  • Strong writer, strong written and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internal employee event planning experience.

  • Experience with presentation development, speechwriting, and drafting briefing materials.

  • Experience writing for internal, digital channels and platforms such as newsletters, intranet sites, Slack, etc.

  • Experience in HR, DE&I, learning and development and/or change management communications.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
