Actalent Electrical Design Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Seattle office is seeking an electrical engineer to work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment. The position responsibilities primarily focus on the design of electrical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. This requires providing technical leadership for the creation of construction drawings and specifications, existing system studies, and master planning efforts. Qualified candidates will develop electrical system designs based on the scope of work and/or client RFPs, provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of electrical systems for various market types, conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing electrical systems, develop system design calculations and select equipment for use in buildings, write/edit project specifications, prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies, research code compliance, and coordinate work with other disciplines. The engineer will also meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical issues and develop effective working relationships. The project clientele includes K-12 education, higher education, commercial, healthcare, science and technology, municipal, and institutional facilities. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to be part of our growing firm.

Hard Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the electrical industry

  • 3+ years of experience in the construction industry; plan spec or design build

  • Experience within two building types: Educational, Mission-Critical, Retail, Datacenter, Federal, Commercial Projects

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Understanding of AutoCAD and Bluebeam

Work Site

This is an onsite role in downtown Seattle. You'll be eligible to request for hybrid schedule after 6-12 months of work.
