JPMorgan Chase Director of Security Engineering in Seattle, Washington

As a Director of Security Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the (insert LOB or sub LOB), you lead at least one technical area with a security engineering focus, and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and a driver of innovation to deliver security solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

  • Accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures

  • Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains

  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

  • Develops and executes the function's objectives and is responsible for outcomes

  • Responsible for staffing, budget, and relevant profit and loss

  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise

  • Experience running teams of engineers that deliver security solutions operations on cloud-based platforms and applications

  • Experience building security engineering products and solutions for public cloud-based applications and infrastructure

  • Experience developing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists

  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

  • Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager
