Affiliated Engineers NW, Inc. Construction Manager - Healthcare and Science & Technology in Seattle, Washington

Affiliated Engineers NW, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager - Healthcare and Science & Technology. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Manage project documentation and documentation control processes from initiation to completion, including contracts, permits, drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project-related documents.
  • Implement standardized quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Coordinate the quality review and delivery of construction documents, including ASI narratives, specifications, drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Maintain project financial status in AEI's in-house project management software.
  • Work closely with PMs to provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams and collaborating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to identify project construction administration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, with a focus on construction documents and milestones.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including design reviews, charrettes, and regular project meetings.
  • Take meeting notes and distribute them internally and externally as required.
  • Ensure project decisions are appropriately documented by Sr. Project Coordinator and other personnel; maintain an action list of open items, monitoring progress in resolving issues.
  • Create project document file storage within the standard project directory structure, ensuring easy access and organization of project materials; ensure file is updated and maintained by Sr. Project Coordinator and other team members.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, financial summaries, and other project documentation for stakeholders and management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Travel:              Job involves up to 10% regional travel to visit project sites.

Salary:              $120,723 per year plus an exceptional benefits package.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree with a major or specialization in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience managing construction documentation processes for healthcare and science & technology projects, including responsibility for the precision, accuracy, and compliance of technical documents and experience using Teams, Procore, BlueBeam Studio, SpecLink, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Project. Alternatively, employer will accept a master's degree with a major or specialization in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related field plus 1 year of experience managing construction documentation processes for healthcare and science & technology projects, including responsibility for the precision, accuracy, and compliance of technical documents and experience using Teams, Procore, BlueBeam Studio, SpecLink, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Project.
