Blue Origin LLC CNC Machinist III- Weekday Night Shift in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Produces machined parts, products, or components by programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) production equipment. Prepares, programs, and operates CNC machinery. Develops, edits, or modifies operation sequences based on manufacturing sketches, blueprints, or schematics. Sets up machinery for production runs, operates machinery to meet quality and productivity standards, and troubleshoots and resolves errors or discrepancies. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 0% of the time Shift available: Evening shift/ Monday-Thursday 4x10 hour shifts Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hands on editing of NC programs, set up and machining of 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi axis lathes, and development of critical machining processes Working with engineering to document and standardize production processes Partner with leadership and engineering to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals. This role will impact space flight programs and objectives! Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications Minimum Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! A minimum of 6 years of experience in machining aerospace components. Experience machining the following materials: nickel-based stainless steel alloys (Inconel, Monel, etc.), Copper, Aluminum and/or Titanium Extensive experience with one or more of the following CNC machines: Mazak, Hass, Kuraki and/or DMG Mori Experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machining (Horizontal, mill/turns) Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol or other CNC controls Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard Familiar with use of personal computers Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift and carry 25 lbs. Must be able to work nights and overtime when necessary. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: Tooling and fixture design. Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience Outside processing knowledge including: heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc. CMM programming/operation experience CNC programming skills, preferably Mastercam X6 thru 2018 Conversational programming on the machine Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts Working knowledge of Heidenhain Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $38.19-$53-47 Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
