Qualifications* you will bring to the table:

  • A bachelors degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, controls, or experience as a field technician
  • 5 years of job-related experience
  • Must have CCP (Certified Commissioning Professional). CxA (Certified Commissioning Authority), or BCxP (Building Commissioning Professional Certification)
  • Intermediate Knowledge in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform design reviews
  • Commissioning Various HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical systems
  • Work as an individual, under minimal supervision to perform required task
  • Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Client direct communication skills
  • Pro-active work ethic and ability to effectively manage time

As a Team Member at Cushing Terrell, you will*

  • Consult with clients to determine functional requirements of new or renovated systems and/or projects and prepare information regarding design, specifications, estimated costs, and construction time
  • Travel to the project site to perform thorough inspections
  • Prepare reports with statistics and conclusions based on numbers/findings.
  • Read and comprehend construction documents, equipment specs, and process drawings.
  • Ensures equipment meets all legal requirements and codes
  • Record data which has been identified specifically during preceding tests to verify that outputs of the test produce specific results or to review the reaction of the subject under exceptional or unusual input
  • Compose work-related reports that support effective relationship management and a high standard of documentation and record keeping
  • Write and present results and conclusions in a clear and intelligible way so they are comprehensible to a non-expert audience
  • Make sure that the measurable factors which define the operation of a system correspond to the predetermined norms
  • Perform basic calculations for applicable systems
  • Use different measurement instruments depending on the property to be measured
  • Utilize various instruments to measure length, area, volume, speed, energy, force, and others
  • Assist with checking shop drawings during construction administration

*The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. On occasion, individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.

Your pay

The salary for this position is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.

Expected Range*: $90,000 to $105,000 annually
