DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Case Manager - TemporarySTATUS: Non -ExemptGENERAL STATEMENT:The Salvation Army is a branch of the Christian Church and the ultimate goal of all programs is spiritual regeneration of all people.SCOPE OF POSITION: The Temporary Case Manager - will provide general social services including information and referral necessary for adults to develop and pursue an effective and mutually agreed upon case plan. Provide personal direct service in unusually complex situations or as required by unique circumstances. This position works in concert with other case management staff and is under the direct supervision of the Long-Term Programs Case Management Specialist.Terms of this position with benefits are subject to continued funding through CARES Act.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:GED/HS DiplomaSocial/Human services or related experience.Demonstrates experience in 3 or more of the following fields: Human services; case management; trauma-informed care; community building and cooperation in congregate living environment(s); HMIS entries, exits and reporting skillset; time management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: An ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive mannerDemonstrates a commitment to the values of equity and inclusion by honoring diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity.Self starterTeam playerDetail orientedStrong use of the English language in verbal and written communicationExcellent telephone skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressureCustomer service mindsetStrong analytical and research skillsGeneral knowledge of business protocolsStrong commitment to keeping client information confidentialBroad and up to date knowledge of community-based resources (e.g. housing, employment placement services, access to medical & dental services, etc.)Possesses a valid Washington State Driver's License and clear driving recordMust successfully pass through the background/reference check processAbility and willingness to understand and fully comply with mandatory reporting requirements and laws pertaining to vulnerable adults and childrenObtain documentation of current TB testPossess current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of employmentComplete the Bloodborne Pathogen training within 90 days of employmentSOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS: Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of integrated database applications and/or ability to use new software programs with basic trainingESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide personal direct service in unusually complex situations or as required by unique circumstancesProvide formal and informal referral services to community resourcesProvide case management services in a goal directed, task centered, and time limited mannerCoordinates services with other agencies such as mental health, employment security, substance abuse programs, vocational rehabilitation, and developmental disabilitiesParticipates in unit staff meetingsEnsures that case records, social services system (Wellsky) and required forms and reports are maintained in the prescribed formatOther duties as assigned from supervisorPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basisAbility to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overheadAbility to operate telephoneAbility to operate a desktop or laptop computerAbility to lift up to 45 lbs.Ability to access and produce information from a computerAbility to interpret and understand written instructionEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Vet
