As a Test Engineer on our team, you will be an Avionics Testing Domain Expert responsible for planning, coordinating, and carrying out test campaigns in support of qualification and manufacture of reliable avionics' hardware. You'll have hands on flight hardware, you'll directly influence the dependability of our delivered vehicles, and you'll be empowered to proactively shape our team's operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and approve avionics test plans and procedures with an emphasis on providing your expertise on avionics test and environmental test methodologies and standard processes Support Design and Systems Engineers in hardware design/ requirement/verification plan development Work with Hardware and Software Design Engineers to design, build, and verify custom automated test equipment Support schedule development and resource coordination Lead Test Readiness Reviews and team working sessions Ensure test readiness, resolve work stoppages, delegate supporting tasks, and responsibly guide avionics hardware through the environmental testing process Lead and/or directly run test procedures Oversee and/or directly operate, troubleshoot, and control configurations of automated test equipment Document test anomalies and support root cause investigations Facilitate and support data reviews Ultimately ensure avionics hardware and test records meet engineering and quality requirements upon test completion Train Technicians, Test Operators, and other Test Engineers Develop/improve processes and standard procedures with emphasis on optimizing quality and efficiency of the team's performance Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. in electrical, computer, or aerospace engineering, physics, or related field Min. 2 years demonstrated experience developing test requirements, plans, and procedures 1 year proven experience designing, operating, testing, and/or troubleshooting at least two of the following avionics device types (at LRU or system level) or comparable electrical systems: Command & Control, Input/Output, Network, RF, Power, Audio/Video knowledge in environmental testing (development, qualification, or acceptance) including Shock/Vibration, Thermal Cycles, Vacuum, and/or EMI/EMC Sound knowledge of electronics and electrical circuit fundamentals in order to support test design/requirement development and test failure root cause investigations Working familiarity with Linux, Python, C/C++, or similar with ability to learn quickly Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills Attention to detail ensuring rigorous test coverage and impeccable test conduct Judgment and critical thinking skills to guide swift problem resolution and progress in spite of setbacks Flexibility and adaptability to changing scope or priorities Ability to earn tru
