UW Medical Center-Montlake – Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a AUDIOLOGIST 1. WORK SCHEDULE - FULL-TIME; 1.0 FTE; 40 HOURS/WEEK - Day Shift

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Independently, plans, directs and administers evaluation and intervention to patients throughout the medical center. Assesses and treats a routine patient utilizing training in the evaluation and treatment process. Seeks mentorship and training in the evaluation and treatment of patients with complex diagnoses. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and function. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge. Participates in program development and quality improvement tasks. Ensures that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in infection control, equipment training, compliance, safety and educational programs, both at the departmental and organization level.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Licensed by the State of Washington as an AUDIOLOGIST. - A Master’s degree in Audiology or Communicative Disorders. OR Documentation of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association approved equivalent to the Master’s degree consisting of approved curriculum and student practicum hours. AND A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. - OR Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification or registration.

Desirable Qualifications - Two years of experience as an audiologist, or equivalent is preferred. - A Doctorate in Audiology is preferred.
