Native American Technology Corp Aviation Analyst in SeaTac, Washington

Join the NATECH Quality Assurance team as a National Airspace (NAS) Western Service Area quality assurance specialist.

 

The selected candidate will be a subject matter expertise in support of the review, development and oversight in the processing of aircraft accidents, aircraft incidents, air traffic incidents, and safety initiatives. This this will include Vehicle/Pedestrian Deviations, Near Mid-Air collisions, and other miscellaneous documentation maintained by the Quality Control Group (QCG). The chosen candidate will review incident reports to identify potential quality control concerns after significant events and respond or follow up. This includes post-incident reviews and processing events forwarded by headquarters. The selected candidate will review proposed changes to the National Airspace System (NAS), build safety cases and identify risk.

 

The selected candidate must have excellent customer service skills necessary to interact with senior level management and internal and external customers, as well as foster an environment of cooperation between different departments and co-workers. The chosen applicant will interface with Air Traffic Control (ATC) field facilities, Service Centers, Headquarters, and vendors, as necessary, to stay abreast of current and future ATC automated systems. The selected candidate will maintain records and provide reports of progress and problems at Service Area's field facilities.

 

This position is eligible for a flexible work share position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in a Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field from an accredited college or university plus 15 years of relevant experience in Air Traffic Control, Aviation planning, project management, project coordination, implementation, and engineering, involving FAA or DOD, Air Traffic Control systems, NAS planning, or NAS project coordination.

  • An additional four (8) years of specific experience involving FAA or DOD, Air Traffic Control systems, NAS planning, or NAS project coordination may be substituted in lieu of bachelor's degree. 

  • Experience using FAA quality and safety tools including but not limited to CEDAR, FALCON, and SATORI
