DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days per week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them with participating in exciting activities, you will play a huge role in their well-being. Through this day-to-day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care. In this position, you will play a key part in residents' care plans by attending and actively engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings, where you will help discuss treatment plans and develop personalized interventions to meet each resident's rehabilitation or maintenance goals. You will monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the professional nursing staff. Your responsibilities include answering call bells, assisting with care needs, and conducting rounds during your shift. You will also participate in shift-to-shift reports with other personnel. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Part-time employment, 8 hours per day, 20 hours per week Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM), rotating days and weekends with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work every other weekend. Hourly Rate: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
Special Requirements: This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
