DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and complex clerical support for the Northeast Regional Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) in carrying out the mandated functions of the licensing and approval of regional early learning programs. In this role, you will serve as the lead worker for clerical functions in the Scranton office. This includes assigning work and reviewing work for completion. You will also provide on-the-job training related to the clerical functions of the regional office for Clerical Assistant 2s.

In addition, you will receive, assign, review, and process Family Child Care Home (FCCH), Group Child Care Home (GCCH), and Child Care Center (CCC) applications. This includes reviewing certificate of orientation, certificates of occupancy, tax verification information, child abuse, criminal history, FBI clearances, NSOR clearance, out-of-state clearances, Mandated Reporter Training, and Health and Safety Training verification, for errors and completeness. In this position, you must have knowledge in appropriate laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as they pertain to the certification of early learning programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the Northeast Regional office in Scranton. During the training period more frequent days in the office may be required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
