Responsibilities Job Summary The Sr Scientific Clinical Research Writer is a key member of the research team and will lead and execute scientific writing support for research including, but not limited to, protocols, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, grants, and presentations. This position specializes in substantive scientific writing and technical editing, stylistic and content writing and editing, rewriting, formatting, manuscript editing and proofreading publication, internal and external grant proposals, and research protocols. This includes critical review of the text for clarity, persuasiveness, and comprehensive presentation. The primary emphasis is on reading, reviewing, analyzing, and providing theoretical guidance for grant proposals, research protocol clarity, and original manuscript development for researcher trials. The successful candidate is a skilled scientific and expert grant writer, who displays a strong command of ensuring publications and scientific components of projects are completed in a timely manner, with high quality, and in compliance at all steps. This position plans and writes scientific documents that are within the scope of respective research. Assists researchers in research project planning to articulate research concept and hypothesis development, and in the preparation of the scientific and technical components of research proposals to enable detailed protocol development. Organize and assist with interpretation of scientific data and statistical data, writing documents, and ensuring their review by relevant parties with compliance and quality. Process oversight for the development of scientific research documents and working as a liaison with relevant functional representatives with key internal and external stakeholders. Prepares quality figures as necessary for scientific publications. Works closely with researchers to move ideas into development including presentation, letters of intent, and submission of high-quality grant proposals to government bodies, foundations, and private funding prospects. Generates scientific portion of grants, conducts research to identify potential new sources of funding. Generates timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented research proposals. Leads relevant and/or participates in relevant meetings to ensure document preparation, interpretation, and incorporation of comments. Responsible for quality checks on new or revised procedures for relevant SOPs. Leads publication and grant development meetings including agenda content leading to successful quality submissions/documentation. Keep updated on research and healthcare trends in respective field. Literature reviews. Provide backup support to other team members, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
