Senior Program Manager

Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly responsible Senior Program Manager to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ Office. As the Senior Program Manager, you are a vital part of the IT Enterprise Applications Team. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Applications and be responsible for the overall program management of large, cross-functional digital transformation initiatives. You will utilize business analysis, project management, and program management skills as you own the entire IT project portfolio. The Senior Program Manager will leverage their experience in enterprise IT project management and business applications to drive large implementations and business systems projects to completion, including all aspects of the project management cycle and phases. The Senior Program Manager will also play a vital role in identifying areas for business process improvement across the organization where technology can enable and accelerate the business. As needed, this role will also work alongside the IT Project Manager and other aspects of IT, including Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Software Development, on program management of any large IT projects and systems. By implementing best practices in project management, process improvement, and change management methodology, this role will be vital to accelerating the organization's digital transformation journey.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Build upon ADF’s program and project management methodology, including industry best practices, process improvements, and enhancements.

  • Develop a strong understanding of ADF’s departments and corresponding business processes and needs.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop a problem-solving and process mapping discipline at the organization, training others to problem-solve and effectively manage process improvement initiatives.

  • Manage project resourcing and priorities, communicating risks as necessary.

  • Develop and communicate project and program artifacts and collateral to effectively communicate to diverse groups with the organization throughout a program’s lifecycle.

  • Regularly meet with business stakeholders and other IT team members to look for opportunities for continued digital transformation and improvements.

  • Participate in strategy and budgeting exercises with leadership to cast program vision and develop program, project, and product roadmaps.

  • Work closely with key external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders on projects and programs to achieve optimum results, remove roadblocks, and strategic planning.

  • Run and manage regularly scheduled meetings with key stakeholders and knowledge workers throughout the organization.

  • Maintain curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement by leveraging your skillset to solve complex organizational problems.

  • Develop and report upon metrics that measure and predict success, risks, and efficiencies.

  • Leverage ADF’s Objectives and Key Results system for reporting within the organization.

  • Working alongside various IT teams, assisting in researching and selecting various tools and solutions to assist in digital transformation.

Knowledge of:

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with end-users in non-technical terms

  • Work responsibly with or without direct supervision

  • Travel as needed, including international travel

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Business Systems, or Project Management

  • PMP certification preferred

  • 5+ years experience in IT Project Management for large organizations

  • 5+ years experience in Program Management

  • 3+ years experience in IT Business Systems, Business Analysis

  • 3+ years experience in Process Mapping and Process Improvement

  • 2+ years experience in Kanban, Kaizen and/or Lean methodologies
