As a Modern Infrastructure Services (MIS) Professional Services Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Design/Architecture and Installation teams in our MIS Delivery discipline. Broad data center technology stack experience is required as the vCORE MIS portfolio includes technology solutions from multiple OEMs across the: Storage, HCI, Data Protection, Compute, and Digital Workspace domains. These are the teams responsible for providing pro-active, post-sales, and some pre-sales support to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have previous Delivery Management and/or an IT Professional Services delivery background, own a Customer-first/Sales-first mentality, a natural talent for bringing the best out of engineers and scaling-out engineering teams, proven leadership and people management skills with a sound understanding of the technologies we support: Storage, Compute, HCI, Data Protection and Digital Workspace. The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Travel - Estimated travel is roughly 25%. Travel will be onsite to various client locations and to meet with remote team members.
What You'll Do
Support the vCORE Go-to-Market (GTM) process
Align closely with vCORE Sales to ensure successful project delivery
Leverage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage the delivery business
Lead by example and foster a high-performance culture with a focus on sales alignment, teamwork, service excellence, and continual improvement
Be open to supporting and marketing outside the box solutions to help support the vCORE Sales GTM process
Contribute proactively to new service development, implementing discipline strategy, and implementing change within the team as needed to ensure it can take on new service offerings
Collaborate across teams to deliver a cohesive support experience both in customer-facing and internal-facing engagements
Ensure the Delivery team is skilled, trained, and developed to support the dynamic vCORE GTM strategy and to maintain vCOREs standard for high-touch delivery and customer engagement
Mentor and grow direct reports
Provide continuous performance management feedback to direct reports
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective Delivery Engineer recruits
Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation, both, on and off-hours as needed
Drive Delivery team adherence to client Change Control process and ensuring compliance requirements are met as an individual and by the team
Assist with recruiting and new-hire training
Provide technical and functional subject matter expertise to the team
Meet with customers face-to-face on a consistent basis to provide updates and solicit/process continual improvement feedback
Achieve consistent customer satisfaction ratings and respond appropriately to customer feedback on areas for improvement
Participate in quarterly account reviews to identify client satisfaction, process adherence, backlogs, quality of services provided, opportunities for improvement, etc.
Play a lead role in the alignment and collaboration between the vCORE Sales and Pre-sales team, the vCORE PMO, the vCORE Network Technical Delivery team, the vCORE Cloud Delivery team, and the vCORE Operations-as-a-Service teams across the vCORE enterprise
What You'll Need
Minimum 3 years of personnel management or leadership in a Professional Services Delivery or Enterprise Architect role
Minimum 3 years of experience managing remote teams
Thrives in a pay-for-performance culture with excellent sales relationship skills
Has a service spirit and excellent client-facing skills
Effective communicator with team members, peers, and clients
Act as a positive influence, bringing out the best in people and a commitment to continual improvement
Experience managing enterprise IT teams supporting complex environments spanning from the data center to end-user device engineering
Previous work in technical positions (Value-added Reseller, Service Delivery, Managed Services, Hosting Provider preferred)
Proven track history of developing and maintaining standards
Proven track history of Enterprise Architecture in complex IT environments
Familiar with new service introduction
Familiar with storage/compute, H/CI operation, and troubleshooting solutions from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Dell EMC, Cisco, Nutanix, and VMware
Familiar with Digital Workspace, operation, and troubleshooting solutions from OEMs such as VMware, Microsoft, and Cisco
Familiar with virtualization & Hypervisor operation, networking, and troubleshooting solutions from OEMs such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco and Nutanix
Familiar with Data Protection / Data Management solutions such as Commvault, Dell EMC, Rubrik, Actifio and Cohesity
Familiar with Observability and Application Performance Management solutions from OEMs such as Virtana, Data Dog and Dynatrace
Basic understanding of and interest in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP) core offerings such as EC2, S3, IAM, and networking
Basic understanding of network technologies
