Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team. Responsible for quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of laboratory functions. Actively learns to troubleshoot and resolve problems and documents corrective actions. Ensures compliance with all state, CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations as applicable and incorporates these compliance practices into daily routines. Actively participates in laboratory programs established for the purpose of maintaining/improving the quality of laboratory services, individual growth, and safety in the work environment. Microtomy - creates adequate histologic sections with proper leveling between each section applied onto glass slides Embeds tissue using correct orientation and positioning for sectioning. Assists with IHC activities and retrieves slides and/or blocks from request. Performs recuts and additional stains including special and immunohistochemistry stains, as requested by a Pathologist Performs and documents instrument and equipment maintenance and learns troubleshooting on all equipment to ensure proper operation. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required
