Accounts Payable Specialist
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ office. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you are a vital part of the Finance team. In this role, you will report to the Accounts Payable Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to process accounts payable, ensuring timely vendor and team member disbursements. Additionally, you will be asked to assist with other finance-related tasks to support the team's goals and objectives.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Providing excellent service to team members and internal stakeholders
Receive and process invoices and internal payment requests to domestic and international vendors
Review invoices for accurate coding, completeness, and proper authorization
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Prepare and process checks, electronic fund transfers, and wires
Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Accounts Payable inbox
Properly set up vendors and maintain vendor records within the Accounts Payable system
Generate reports and analyses related to accounts payable
Prepare general ledger entries and assist in the month-end close process
Corporate Credit Card Program:
Code domestic and international expense reports
Collaborate with team members outside of Finance to resolve coding questions to ensure accurate expense reporting
Ensure accuracy and adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Assist cardholders with coding and documentation
Prepare and complete data transfers from the expense system to the accounting system
Assist with ongoing maintenance, including team member setup, resetting passwords, increasing limits, monitoring fraud, ordering new cards, and updating account codes and approvers
Other Responsibilities:
Assist with team member training and orientation specific to ADF Finance processes and procedures
Perform continuous evaluation of current processes and offer recommendations for process improvements
You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned
Skills you need to succeed:
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to:

Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Education and/or experience:
3+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or related field
Experience with Concur and/or enterprise-level accounting software preferred
