Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will coordinate tasks in support of the Air Force’s worldwide network. He/She will support the Air Force’s ongoing Enterprise IT as a Service initiative. He/She will lead other network projects as network services evolve.

  • Collaborate with other organizations, levels of command, staffs, etc., in overseeing the planning and implementation systems and services.

  • Gather and provide additional requirements information to include user counts, organizational structure, and any other information required in developing cost models and support contracting actions.

  • Work with the implementation contractor to develop site-specific task schedule that identifies required events for site fielding.

  • Liaise among impacted organizations during site pre-fielding, fielding, and post fielding processes.

  • Publish schedules and coordinate schedule changes.

  • Prepare reports for distribution providing update of activities and status of project.

  • Release status report on all active Customer Requests/Incident Tickets (using Remedy).

  • Attend and represent the client organization in various meetings.

  • Host, chair, and coordinate meetings.

  • Create Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs).

  • Schedule and chair troubleshooting calls.

  • Perform PM tasks as required in support of other Air Force network initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: 9 years of applicable IT experience (A BS/BA can be substituted for 4 years of experience).

  • An active SECRET clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certificates: Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • Capable of leading projects that involve successful management of teams composed of data processing and other information management professionals who have been involved in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and/or telecommunications systems.

  • Knowledge of Project Management principles.

  • Understanding and experience in Air Force-level policy and guidance.

  • Experience working with external organizations and higher headquarters.

  • Strong presentation and writing skills.

  • Previous experience managing a large IT implementation effort.

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles.

  • Experience with IT Service Management, especially Transition/Change Management.

Posted Salary Range

90000 - 120000
