Summary

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as the Mobility Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) Distributed Training Center (DTC) Site Lead at Scott AFB, IL. The DTC Site Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the DTC, managing staff, and ensuring that the site is running effectively. The selected candidate will s erve as an alternate Point of Contact (POC) with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and will report directly to the MAF DMO Program Manager (PM). Candidate will also be qualified MAF DMO Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting training events.

What you will do

Manages site location workforce to achieve Government directed tasks and schedule. Oversees site personnel, both company and subcontractor. Engages with site program functional representatives to coordinate and deconflict operations and systems and site maintenance. Provides operational and tactical level experience in integrated employment of MAF DMO core missions.

  • Provide oversight of efforts under the task order and coordinates with Government personnel and Government agencies/departments to ensure that Air Mobility Command (AMC) mission objectives are met from an operational perspective.

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and change orders.

  • Serves as an Operations Subject Matter Expert during planning, executing, and assessing MAF synthetic training events and exercises.

  • Prepares and delivers informational and decision briefings to MAF DMO stakeholders. Provides regular status updates, and planned initiatives relevant to operational training conducted by MAF DTC personnel.

What you must have

  • 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.

  • Experience in a management role in a technical/customer service/data operations environment

  • Experience of creating and contributing to strategic planning processes

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse project team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively address challenges and make sound judgments.

  • Experience in leading large teams to high levels of performance

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Experience as a project owner / sponsor for strategic step change initiatives and enabling innovative thinking in project teams

  • Experience working on MS Excel, analyzing data and presenting to senior management

  • Current or previous Department of Defense Instructor Pilot, Instructor Combat Systems Operator, or Instructor Navigator

  • Understanding or experience with Live-Virtual-Constructive training concepts

  • Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience managing operations, directing personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations within DoD agencies under a task order that is similar in scope and complexity.

  • Knowledge of the MAF DMO operations supporting Air Mobility Command.

  • Demonstrated passion and obsession for customers while maintaining a lean, highly productive operation

  • Experience in building a culture of empowerment, accountability and continuous improvement

  • Proven ability to think strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Previous or current Active Duty or Reserve Component instructor pilot at O5 level or above in the C-130/C-17/C-5/KC-135/KC-46

  • USAF Weapons School Graduate

  • Evaluator Pilot, Combat Systems Operator, or Navigator with a tour at an aircrew Formal Training Unit

  • Experience (within past 3 years) in planning and executing Large Force Exercise training events.

  • Experience with environment generator software to include Next Generation Threat System (NGTS)

Physical Requirements
