Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for algorithm development, quantitative analysis, orbit determination, decision analysis, capability analysis, system engineering requirements analysis and trade studies, analyses of alternatives, design of experiments, and architecture analysis.

  • Support programs by creating models, simulations, and analysis tools to support national security space analysis activities.

  • Collaborate with software development teams to implement and validate models, ultimately resulting in user capabilities.

  • Develop new algorithms and processes, enhance current tool capabilities, and perform analyses.

  • Interact with customers and provide input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables under guidance of senior technical personnel.

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Knowledge of ephemeris and orbit determination.

  • Experience with Spacecraft Operations/Orbit Analysis.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • E xperience in the following softwares : S T K /A s tr o g a t o r , A s tr o dy n a m i c s S t a n d a r d s , S O AP, P r o E n g in ee r, STK Level 2.

  • E xp e r i e n ce w i t h Astrodynamics Support Workstation (ASW).

  • Experience with M A T LA B , Py t h o n, J ava, P a r al l e l Co m p u t i n g , U N I X /L i nux.

  • E xp e r i e n ce in s u p po r t i ng m o d e li n g, s i m ul a t i o n, an d a na l ysis o f n a t i o nal s e c u r i t y s p a ce r e la t e d p r o bl e m s d e s i r e d.

  • E xp e r i e n ce w o r k i ng wi t h JS O N a n d X M L fil e s o f t e n u s e d f o r d a t a e xc h a nge and API definitions.

  • Experience of Space Domain Awareness mission.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $89,000 - $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
