As a Senior Staff Program Manager for Business Insights, you will oversee a portfolio of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, from idea through delivery. You will play a pivotal role in aligning BI initiatives with business goals as well as foster a data-driven culture across our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and management skills, solid understanding of the BI domain and technologies, and project management expertise.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Business Insights program related communication

  • Create, own, and manage a portfolio of Business Insights projects, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova – Wind strategic objectives

  • Engage with business leaders to understand their needs then translate them into actionable Business Insights projects anchored by time, scope, cost, and return on investment (ROI)

  • Direct activities across cross-functional teams (development, functional organization, operations, etc.), and proactively identify and manage dependencies

  • Manage development teams responsible for building Business Insights solutions

  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions confirming the solution is fit for purpose and of high quality

  • Track project outcomes and user satisfaction with established metrics

  • Stay current with emerging Business Intelligence trends, technologies, and best practices

  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

  • Innovate with the wider Wind Data & Analytics team to continuously enhance the strategy for building and delivering data and analytics projects more effectively

Required Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree in science, economics, computer science, finance, statistics, engineering, supply chain, operations management, business management

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading development teams and managing a portfolio of projects

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Apache Superset, etc.) and their application for delivering business insights

  • Knowledge of agile software development principles and experience with the Scrum framework

  • Strong project management knowledge and skills

  • Familiar with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.) and services (S3, EC2, etc.)

  • Clear communicator who can present and explain complex concepts in simple and concise terms

  • Value collaboration within and across teams

  • Possess a curiosity to explore how to use data, cutting edge technology, and analytical techniques to continuously add value for our partners and customers

  • Passionate about data quality and delivering actionable information that is impactful to our customers and GE Vernova

  • Familiar with product management tools like Rally, Aha, etc.

  • Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Apache Superset, etc.) to deliver business insights

  • Experience with data analysis using tools like Python, R, SQL, JMP, Matlab, Excel, etc.

The salary range for this position is $116,500 - $194,100 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on September 12th or thereafter.
