SUNY Schenectady County Community college is seeking a part-time Testing Center Coordinator in the SUNY Schenectady College and Career Outreach Center (SCCOC). Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the Schenectady College and Career Outreach Center (SCCOC), the Testing Center Coordinator provides coordination of all Testing Center activities, policies, and procedures regarding assessment testing, TABE testing, GED testing, make-up testing, and testing associated with workforce development. In addition, the center serves as a recognized GED testing center for NYS Education Department and provides testing services to the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and proctor tests offered by the Center;
Understand and maintain testing policies and procedures for each test offered;
Communicate with computer support staff as needed to ensure all technology needs are met;
Act as liaison to SCCOC staff and training providers for testing;
Maintain security of tests;
Record and report all incidents occurring during testing, including irregularities, facilities problems, examinee or staff concerns;
Maintain the Center in a professional manner;
Maintain the Center's online scheduling site by providing timely updates;
Schedule external exams while prioritizing SCCOC needs;
Maintain sufficient hours to accommodate day, evening and weekend schedules, and;
Understand and adhere to FERPA guidelines
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree plus two years of related work experience
Must be able to pay close attention to detail in a busy environment
Critical thinking skills and sound decision making
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new applications
Strong collaboration skills are required to be successful in this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree

Salary: $17.17 per hour
