We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and will help maintain the beauty of the Union College campus. This position will plan, implement and maintain Jackson's Garden and other formal planting areas on the College Grounds. Act as the campus docent as it relates to Jackson's Garden. Assist in implementing the College snow removal plan during winter months. Will also assist as needed with other grounds responsibilities as needed.
Associate degree in Horticulture.
Must have or obtain New York State DEC Pesticide Applicator License.
Computer skills for documentation.
Must be familiar with use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, hard hat.
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
Maintenance of a valid NYS Driver’s License (at least a class D)
Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
