Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RVP, Sales – Current Client Consultants with a strong focus on upselling to current clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of applicable experience in sales leadership roles within HCM or B2B Sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic account management and upselling initiatives. This role requires a results-oriented leader who can effectively lead a sales leadership team, cultivate relationships with existing clients, and identify opportunities for upselling our products or services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Upselling Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive upselling strategy to increase revenue from existing clients, including identifying cross-selling opportunities and premium service offerings.

  • Analyze client needs and usage patterns to proactively identify upselling opportunities and develop tailored solutions.

  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to create upselling packages, go to market strategies, and promotional materials.

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts and develop strategic account plans to maximize upselling opportunities.

  • Manage headcount and the overall spending of the department with finance and human resources.

  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, identify pain points, and anticipate future needs.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and addressing any concerns or issues.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve upselling targets and revenue goals.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the upselling skills of sales team members, focusing on consultative selling techniques and value-added propositions.

  • Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets and monitor team performance, providing constructive feedback and recognition for accomplishments.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, customer success, human resources, and finance, to ensure alignment on upselling strategies and initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on upselling performance, market trends, and client feedback.

  • Act as a liaison between sales and other departments, advocating for the needs of clients and ensuring seamless execution of upselling campaigns.

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of upselling initiatives, including revenue growth, customer retention, and upsell conversion rates.

  • Monitor sales pipeline activity, analyze trends, and forecast revenue projections to track progress towards upselling targets.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting upselling results, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum of 12 years of applicable experience in sales leadership roles within the HCM Industry or equivalent experience

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth through upselling initiatives, with a strong focus on strategic account management.

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate sales teams towards achieving ambitious targets.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform upselling strategies.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

  • Travel required based on client needs and business opportunities.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $112,000 - $208,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
